Нашу розповідь про поїздку за ялинкою ми одразу почнемо з лайфхака, який нам відкрили друзі: в Альберті перед Різдвом, кожен мешканець може заповнити форму ліцензії на сайті та отримати можливість поїхати до лісу та зрубати там собі три ялинки заввишки до 2.5 метрів. А якщо ви дізнаєтесь, що це абсолютно безкоштовно, то зрозумієте, чому Канадська Альберта – це дуже правильно організована провінція.
Наша подорож почалася з незвичайного магазину у Каролайні.
We will immediately begin our story about the trip to buy a Christmas tree with a life hack that our friends revealed to us: in Alberta, before Christmas, every resident can fill out a license form on the website and get the opportunity to go to the forest and cut down three Christmas trees up to 2.5 meters high. Our journey began with an unusual store in Caroline.

Ми приїхали на місце і першою знахідкою виявився скелет оленя.
We arrived at the site and the first find was the skeleton of a deer.
Я теж сфотографувався поруч, щоб запам'ятати цей момент.

Організатори нашого заходу поставили завдання облаштувати місце для відпочинку і ми приштовхали важку колоду з лісу.
The organizers of our event set the task of arranging a place for rest and we pushed in a heavy log from the forest.
Багаття було організовано професійно. Дрова були привезені з дому.
The fire was organized professionally. Firewood was brought from home.
Наша команда не припиняла підкидати дрова, розпалюючи полум'я все сильніше.
Our team did not stop throwing wood, fanning the flames more and more.
На кузові траку було організовано міні-кафе, де можна було поласувати смаколиками та попити кави.
There was a mini-cafe on the back of the truck, where you could enjoy tasty treats and drink coffee.
Сосиски смажилися на спеціальних рожнах.
Sausages were fried on special skewers.
А ось так виглядає чашка розпеченої кави у снігу.

Окрім найсмачніших хотдогів, приготовлених на багатті з українською аджикою усередині, ми дегустували розтоплений на вогні маршмеллоу з шоколадним печивом.
In addition to delicious hot dogs cooked over a fire with Ukrainian adjika inside, we tasted marshmallows melted over a fire with chocolate cookies.
Учасники експедиції продовжували насаджувати сосиски на шампурі.
The expedition members continued to put sausages on skewers.
Ми вдячні нашим друзям за таку кльову подорож.

Ми вже починали замислюватися про те, що настав час йти в ліс за ялинками, але багаття і ковбаски тримали нас. На цьому фото ми досмажуємо сардельку і готові до виходу в глибокий ліс.
We were already beginning to think that it was time to go into the forest for Christmas trees, but the fire and sausages kept us going. In this photo we are finishing the sausage and are almost ready to go into the deep forest.

Погода була досить теплою, тому на гілках багатьох ялин утворилися крижані прикраси.

Ми вибрали собі найкрасивішу ялинку і дістали меч із піхов.
We chose the most beautiful Christmas tree for ourselves and took the sword out of its sheath
Момент, коли ми пилили ялинку, був зафіксований на відео.
The moment when we sawed the Christmas tree was recorded on video.
Ось ця красуня сьогодні поїде до нас додому.

Перехід через ліс із ялинками в руках почався.
The transition through the forest with fir trees in hands began.
Втомлені, але задоволені лісоруби, зробили невеликий перепочинок дорогою до своєї стоянки.
Tired but satisfied lumberjacks took a short break on the way to their camp.
Караван лісорубів розтягнувся на кілька сотень метрів.
The lumberjack caravan stretched for several hundred meters.
Кожен радісно ніс свою ялинку до машини.
Everyone happily carried their Christmas tree to the car.
Щоб зафіксувати зміни у кожному, що відбулися під час прогулянки лісом, на виході теж було зроблено фото.
To record the changes in everyone that occurred during the walk through the forest, photographs were also taken at the exit.

Настав момент, коли ялинки були занурені на машини і можна було виїжджати назад.
The moment came when the trees were loaded onto the cars and it was possible to drive back.
Однак, не всі учасники експедиції хотіли повертатися додому. Багатьом подобалося просто сидіти на снігу, чи лежати.
However, not all members of the expedition wanted to return home. Many people liked to just sit in the snow, or lie...
Загасаюче багаття ми засипали снігом і він став схожим на вулкан Етна, що на Сицилії.
We covered the dying fire with snow and it became like the Etna volcano in Sicily.
Час повернення додому настав і караван машин вирушив у бік Сільван Лейка.
The hour to return home had arrived and the caravan of cars moved towards Sylvan Lake.
Ми зробили невелику зупинку, щоб сфотографуватись біля річки Кліруотер.
We made a quick stop to take photos near the Clearwater River.
Потім проводили на південь чергову зграю птахів.
Then they escorted another flock of birds south.
А вже наступного дня у нас у квартирі стояла вбрана красуня, яку ми привезли з лісу.
And the very next day, in our apartment there was a dressed-up beauty that we had brought from the forest.
А одна з гілок нашої Різдвяної ялинки ніби нагадувала нам, що ми живемо в окрузі Ред Дір. ☺️
And one of the branches of our Christmas tree seemed to remind us that we live in Red Deer County. ☺️
